I grew up in Ft. Collins. Colorado, attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls where I received a degree in Deaf Education and became familiar with South Dakota.

After graduating from college I moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where I taught deaf students for two years.

Ordained in 1981 I served churches in Durand, Illinois; Spring Grove, Minnesota, as an associate pastor; and at Lander, Wyoming where I was involved in establishing a shelter for the homeless, "The Fremont County Good Samaritan Center." Later I joined with people to establish the "First Stop Help Center" to work with people in crisis.

I married Nancy Mejdrich and we have three adult children. I enjoy playing and listening to music, birdwatching, astronomy, origami, cooking, creative writing and always learning new things.

TIM SERSEN, ADMINISTRATIVE PASTOR

I grew up in the upper Midwest spending time in Minnesota, Kansas and Iowa. I grew up in the Lutheran church and loved being involved with many different aspects of church life throughout the years.  I attended Central College in Pella, Iowa where I received a degree in Sociology and Music. After graduating from college I moved back to Des Moines Iowa where I worked as a credit card service representative for Wells Fargo and worked in my home congregation, St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Urbandale. After a year of working and living in Des Moines I discerned a call to the ministry and decided to attend Luther Seminary in Saint Paul Minnesota. I graduated with my Masters of Divinity in 2013. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is my first call and I am very excited to be here. I love getting to know people and hearing their stories. So if you ever want to grab coffee let me know! I enjoy playing music, reading, and being with friends and family.
