Worship with us at Good Shepherd:

The challenges of daily life and the lingering impacts of a pandemic can leave us parched, Thirsty for some renewal. For Lutherans, All Saints resonates with the conviction that in Christ every saint is a sinner and every sinner a saint, simul justus et peccator. Lutherans especially remember on this feast that it is God’s grace, apart from our works, that makes us saints. We find lasting rest only in the mercy of God.

Join us as we gather to celebrate the power of God’s love to conquer sin and death, exchanging them for new life in Christ..

Worship on-line Sunday mornings at 9am via Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and Zoom.

Worship on-campus with us at 9am Sundays or 6:20pm Wednesdays.

We look forward to having you join us on-line or on-campus.

Following the recommendations of the CDC and SD Department of Health we encourage those who are not immunized or have compromised immune systems to continue to wear face coverings.

Rev. Leland Armbright | Administrative Pastor

I was born into a military family and have had the opportunity to live in a number of places in the world. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Environmental Sciences, have received a certificate in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry from Wartburg Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa, and a Master’s of Divinity from Luther Seminary, Saint Paul, Minnesota. I have served the church for over 20 years in in youth ministry and pastoral ministry. Prior to serving here at Good Shepherd, I have served in congregations in Comstock and Rustad, Minnesota; Phoenix, Arizona; and Peachtree Corners, Georgia. My wife, Aleshia, and I are proud parents of four girls and enjoy watching them grow, spending time with family across the Midwest, and exploring the world.

Rev. Mike Jacobson | Visitation Pastor

I was born in Cambridge, England, grew up in Hayti, SD, and survived my teen-age years in suburban Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Electrical Engineering, I attended Northwestern Lutheran Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity degree in 1972. Ordination to the ministry of Word and Sacrament at Christ Chapel, St. Peter, MN, followed on June 4th. My first two parishes were in Minnesota; followed by three in Manitoba, Canada; and two in South Dakota (Leola & Long Lake; then Tripp & Delmont). I retired June 1st of 2010 and moved to Aberdeen. Since retirement I have remained active by providing pulpit supply for several congregations and now continue to serve Good Shepherd as Visitation Pastor. In our fifty plus years of marriage Twila and I have been blessed with two sons and three daughters who have managed to compound the blessing by producing nine grandchildren. We are enjoying life at the lake and participating in the Adult Choir as well as the worship life at Good Shepherd.

Anne Knighten | Pastoral Intern

I grew up in Asheville, NC, but my family moved to Salt Lake City, UT, when I was a teenager. I obtained a BA in Mass Communication from the University of Utah and a JD from Southwestern University School of Law (now Southwestern Law School) in Los Angeles, CA. I am in my final year as a distributive learning student in the MDiv program at Luther Seminary. My husband, Scott, is living the bachelor life at our home in Redlands, CA, while I am at Good Shepherd. I have two adult daughters, Jennifer and Celeste. Keeping me company in Aberdeen are two of my parrots and a fish.
