Rev. Leland Armbright | Administrative Pastor
I was born into a military family and have had the opportunity to live in a number of places in the world. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Environmental Sciences, have received a certificate in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry from Wartburg Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa, and a Master’s of Divinity from Luther Seminary, Saint Paul, Minnesota. I have served the church for over 20 years in in youth ministry and pastoral ministry. Prior to serving here at Good Shepherd, I have served in congregations in Comstock and Rustad, Minnesota; Phoenix, Arizona, and Peachtree Corners, GA. My wife, Aleshia, and I are proud parents of four girls and enjoy watching them grow, spending time with family across the Midwest, and exploring the world.
Rev. Liz Dieseth Pearl | Associate Pastor
I grew up in the upper Midwest spending time in Minnesota, Kansas, and Iowa. I grew up in the Lutheran church and loved being involved with many different aspects of church life throughout the years. I attended Central College in Pella, Iowa where I received a degree in Sociology and Music. After graduating from college I moved back to Des Moines Iowa where I worked as a credit card service representative for Wells Fargo and worked in my home congregation, St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Urbandale. After a year of working and living in Des Moines, I discerned a call to the ministry and decided to attend Luther Seminary in Saint Paul Minnesota. I graduated with my Masters of Divinity in 2013. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is my first call and I am very excited to be here. I love getting to know people and hearing their stories. So if you ever want to grab coffee let me know! I enjoy playing music, reading and being with friends and family.
