Rev. Mike Jacobson

605-290-6903

I was born in Cambridge, England, grew up in Hayti, SD, and survived my teen-age years in suburban Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Electrical Engineering, I attended Northwestern Lutheran Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity degree in 1972. Ordination to the ministry of Word and Sacrament at Christ Chapel, St. Peter, MN, followed on June 4th. My first two parishes were in Minnesota; followed by three in Manitoba, Canada; and two in South Dakota (Leola & Long Lake; then Tripp & Delmont). I retired June 1st of 2010 and moved to Aberdeen. Since retirement I have remained active by providing pulpit supply for several congregations and now continue to serve Good Shepherd as Visitation Pastor. In our fifty plus years of marriage Twila and I have been blessed with two sons and three daughters who have managed to compound the blessing by producing nine grandchildren. We are enjoying life at the lake and participating in the Adult Choir as well as the worship life at Good Shepherd.
